Since its founding in 2002, Art Basel Miami has regularly attracted more than 80,000 visitors to Miami. While the official Art Basel fair takes place at the Miami Beach Convention Center, the Miami Art Week includes more than 20 satellite fairs and various exhibitions at different art galleries. It’s a whirlwind week of art, parties, and international networking.

Sunbathing along Miami Beach? The pristine sand probably comes from the Bahamas or other beaches in the Caribbean. The state of Florida recently spent $11.5 million importing sand to restore the coastline in Miami Beach, which continues to be eroded by ocean waves.
